PORTRAITS

I've always been drawn to people that I find interesting for one reason or another. In my 1983 High School graduation yearbook, I wrote that my goal was "to meet bizarre individuals", and I believe I've achieved that goal! In terms of portraiture I was often recording people and situations with both a polaroid and a 35mm portable camera in the 1980's and into the '90's. In the early 2000's I focused more on what I would consider to be my portrait work. Shooting with a larger camera, a medium format camera. I began to investigate, interact with, and record the people in my life. More recently I (like many others) have been using my iphone to capture people, still with a portrait approach in mind. The works in this section are some examples of my portrait work.
